If you havent already noticed there has been some movement on Anna's Official website - there is a new link to a Flash page for a message from Anna and details of the upcoming changes and new features which will be available on the site. In fact it should have a relaunch mid-December..... with the new film receiving rave reviews, looks like it will be a good 2002......

NEWS - I attended the Press screening of "Me Without You" in London yesterday and can say the film is extremely good with superb performances by Anna, Michelle and definitely Trudie Styler !!(you'll see why!). I can see why it has earned some very good reviews so far - I will add my own in the next day or so.

NEWS - Something that slipped my usually vigilant knowledge of DVD release dates were the recent releases in the USA of 2 of Anna's films on "Region 1" format. One was the BBC film "All For Love"shown in 1999 on the BBC. It has been released on 11 September 2001 under the title "Robert Louis Stevenson's St. Ives" and details can be found at the following link: St.Ives at Amazon.com
The other film released was "An Everlasting Piece", a film released in the US in December 2000, but has never had a UK release. It was released on 7 August 2001 and details can be found at the following link: An Everlasting Piece at Amazon.com

NEWS - For those who didnt know, 2 of Anna's new films (currently unreleased in the UK) are due to be shown at upcoming performances at the 2001 London Film Festival. They are:
"The War Bride" - 1 showing on Sun 18 Nov 13:30pm
AND "Me Without You" - 2 showings on Tue 20 Nov 20:30pm & Wed 21 Nov 12:30pm.
Both are being shown @ the Odeon West End. ....... See the "War Bride" picture from the LFF programme here

NEWS - Further news on the sudden demise of "Brookside" finishing on the Living satellite TV channel, a statement from their Customer Relations reads "Living's rights to be able to show the Channel 4 soap 'Brookside' expired last week and were not renewed, the rights have been taken up by Sky and will be shown on the Sky One channel. You should be able to see repeated episodes on their channel as a double bill at midday."

30-Sept-01 NEWS - "Brookside" on the Living satellite channel looks to have finished for the time being (just before the infamous kiss scene was due to be aired !!). It seems that the Sky One channel is now showing "Brookside", but has missed out quite a few months. It is showing 2 episodes every day at 12-1pm but doesnt seem to have a Sunday Omnibus like the Living channel had. So better set those video recorders during the day. If anyone has any additional info please mail it to me

19-Feb-01 NEWS - Official confirmation from Almeida Theatre that the play has been delayed by 1 week due to Anna's accident. Text of the letter as follows:
"...I am writing to let you know that because Anna Friel (who plays the title role) has suffered an injury, we have had to postpone the opening to 8 March. During the rehearsals for Lulu, Anna Friel tripped up and has torn ligaments and sustained a hair-line fracture to her foot. On the advice of her doctor, the Almeida has decided to postpone the opening to 8 March by which time she will be fully recovered....."
